Tenji Japanese Buffet, Solaris Mont Kiara

Tenji Japanese Buffet Restaurant in Solaris had been a hit recently, often being compared to Jogoya, another Japanese buffet restaurant. So, not willing to miss out on the fun, I decided to try the place out recently along with Ming & Haiyunn.

Tenji is located just above Cold Storage in Solaris, with its big signage outside, no way you can miss the place. Lots of seats inside, enough for maybe 300 customers i reckon. The buffet tables were aligned nicely, easily accessible no matter where you were seated. We had the table outside. Oh and this place is smoker friendly too if you sit outside.

The buffet here is absolutely crazy!You would be spoilt for choices. They have everything here, from fresh juicy oysters, various sashimi & sushi, sukiyaki, tempura, grilled salmon belly to international food like dimsum, roast meat, chinese, and various western food. The oysters here were really the bomb. Its even bigger than a cigarette box, as you can see from the pictures below. Ingredients were fresh and trust me when i say they did not scrooge when it comes to portion. Words cannot describe the delight i've got, so i'll just let the pictures do the talking.

Tenji's cooked hot food section was packed. They display a selection of food on their table, and when you feel like it, take a pin which are marked with your table number and number pin the plate of dishes you wish to have the chef prepare for you. They have vegetables, meat and fresh fish. The cod fish here is a must try, very fresh and the chef steamed it to perfection...literally melts in your mouth.

Now this would make the ladies go crazy...look at all the desserts they have! various cakes, biscuits, crackers and exotic desserts which even i have never seen before. And the best thing is they serve HAAGEN DAAZ ice cream here...wow...the rumour WAS true!!!

I had a few tiramisu & mochi, plus a few scoops of the heavenly ice cream :D

They serve a lot of drinks here, from tea to juices to coconut juice. Interesting to see their selection of flower tea. We tried the lavender and rose tea, good & very flavourful. The coffee was superb as well. The coconuts were everyones favourite, personally i had about half a dozens of those little bad boys.

Standard prices for adults are as below:

Lunch 11.30am - 4pm RM77++
Dinner 5.30pm - 9.30pm RM88++
Supper 9.30pm - 12.30am RM88++

Do check their website from time to time for promotional details. We paid just about RM45 each for father's day promotion. Worth it!
