Happy Beans Cafe, Taipan USJ

It was a hot & boring afternoon. I was staying home trying my best to concentrate on my games but the heat was just too much to handle. Was thinking of sleeping off to escape the heat until there was a facebook message on my monitor. Friend was in my situation as well and would like to have a nice cooling meal together. This place, Happy Bean Cafe in Taipan hits me straight away.

Less than 20 minutes later we were there in the shop. This place would look like any other shop in Taipan if you do not take a good look at it, yet its the only cold dessert specialty shop in the area. Located near 7-11, this would be the perfect place to escape the afternoon heat whilst having a nice chat with a few friends. Simple exterior & interior would be enough for the shop

The speciality of this shop are, of course, cold & iced desserts. They offer popular choices like taufu hua, ice-kacang like desserts & fruits on ice. Their other speciality would be their yam pieces, as shown in the picture below. They claim to use 100% natural ingredients in all the dishes and all dishes are design to give your body some much needed vitamin & nutrient charges. I dont know about that but ice cold dessert is all i need haha...

This is the shaved ice with various toppings, including yam balls, red bean, green bean, bubbles (as in bubble tea bubbles), & black jelly. Very very refreshing, not too sweet but very very refreshing...just right for anyone in Malaysia i reckon...

I had the red bean with milk on shaved ice. The milk smoothens the whole package, as red beans tends to be rough sometimes, and adds a very nice aroma to the dish. Black sugar syrup were added to give the whole dish some extra sweetness. Just what i needed that day....ahhhh....

The portion for all their desserts were HUGE. It would take you at least 20 minutes to finish your meal, fast eater or not. It is best to savor the desserts spoonful by spoonful, and just enjoy the lazy day...

The meal comes to RM13 for 2 person. Price wise very very affordable, considering we spent more than an hour in the shop & the size of the dessert.
