If you are around my age (18 years old, and I'm sticking to that) you'll definitely remember Chewbacca, the hairy, hot-headed and presumably smelly yet so likable wookie from Star Wars fame. And to hype up the season finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, filmmakers did this:
Pretty funny stuff I'd have to admit, wish I have a cool ride like his!

Restoran 88, SunwayMas
I have joint a different gym recently, located around the vicinity of Sunwaymas and was told by one of my gym buddies that this place. So after a tiring gym session last Friday, we decided to have a nice supper at this place.
The place is surprisingly easy to locate, as it was located very near to my old office! We barged in around 10pm and there was still a sizable amount of people there, always a good thing to see at a restaurant I have never been to before. And then it started raining, marvelous for our supper session!
We decided on our meals and the food arrived little less than 10 minutes later. Syok lah! Nice service me likey...The first dish was Marmite Pork Ribs, which was cooked to perfection. Sweet and sticky, we had a great time downing this dish. The meat was tender and juicy too, unlike some other places where the meat usually got over-fried and loses it tenderness.
The next dish was the Spinach Soup. This dish was sweet with the aroma of little anchovies and bits of century eggs, but too much MSG for me. I could not finish my soup.
We had another vege dish, Stir-Fried Four Heavenly Kings, which in human language is petai, 2 types of long beans and eggplants stir fried with garlic and bean paste sauce. The dish is prepared well, all the veges are fried just enough to retain the fresh crunch I love so much, and the sauce is just right to go with rice.
Finally the star dishes arrived. We ordered 2 types of fish to go with our meal, first is the Asam Steamed Talapia, which was done quite well for me. The fish was done just right, not over cooked and the taste of the asam was just enough to bring out the freshness of the fish, instead of overpowering it. Doggyjames loves this one :D
The second fish dish is Steamed Grouper, Teow Chew style. The fish was really fresh indeed, a key competent in making this a really tasty dish. The soup was sweet and light from the fish itself and other ingredients. This dish was another winner to me as well.
Overall, this maybe one of the best after gym meals I've had so far. And it cost us about RM 80 for all these goodies, kinda cheap in KL standards I'd say.
Here's a map for you readers. Restoran 88 is located at a corner lot just behind Old Town Kopitiam, should be fairly easy to locate once you reach the area.

Lala Chong, Ara Damansara
Lala Chong has been the place to go to for a great seafood meal, especial for us who stays around the Klang Valley. Long being the landmark of Kampung Ara Damansara, the establishment was recently moved to Ara Damansara, which I must admit provides a much better ambiance for diners, despite losing some of its original flavours (as in traffic dust and the huge ass big pond). It even has a air conditioned level now, instantly making this place one of the wedding dinner venues for me should I ever get married XD
So one day me and my friends had the cravings for a nice seafood dinner, which of course automatically includes lalas or small clams cooked with superior soup, and mour first thoughts were Lala Chong. So off we went and with the help of our trusty GPS, we finally found the place.
Without further a due we seated ourselves and ordered some dishes. Not long after, the first of our dishes, tofu soup arrived. made to taste similar to sharksfin soup, this dish would have its rightful place among the mother of all soups. Smooth, taste mighty fine with a hint of natural sweetness and with an agonizingly fantastic smell, this soup is usually enhanced with a dash of vinegar, adding more taste and volume to its already magnificent taste.
The next to arrive is the famous Lala cooked in superior soup. This dish is as fine as ever, its basically lala cooked in chinese superior soup, enhanced with the presence of chopped chillies, ginger and chinese herbs. The clams were fresh and juicy, and the soup paired perfectly with plain white rice. Everyone were dripping sweat as we greedily finished the hot soup. Fantastic as ever this one.
We ordered with salt crusted baked talapia fish as well, which is also a must have here. The fresh talapia fish was baked over charcoal flames with a salt crust, stuffed with ginger, chillies, lemons and some chinese herbs. The result was a succulent fish, cooked just right and that extra bit of saltiness really completes this dish. If you come here and do not order this, doggyjames dowan to friend you anymore >:D
We ordered some vegetables just for good measure, they ran of out sayur paku so we just went with some normal greens. Order their spicy sayur paku next time you are here, you might just be luckier than me :)
I have no idea why but we ordered the herbal chicken instead of the usual bbq lamb ribs. The herbal chicken was nothing to shout about, chicken was a little bit blend and tasteless for me, and the herbal soup had too little omph! for me.
We had a really good time over at Lala Chong. The meal cost us less than RM25 per person, which is arguably reasonable for all the yummies we had.
Heres a map for you readers. I really had no idea how to describe the location so my advice is to equip yourself with a GPS to find the place and hopefully the map helps a bit.

Pacific Coffee, IOI Boulevard Puchong
Whenever I needed a relaxing place to enjoy a cuppa coffee and read a book around town, a few choices definitely pops up in my mind. Familiar names such as Starbucks and Coffee Bean are surely in the list but lately, another newcomer in Malaysia's franchise gourmet coffee scene joins that list as well.
In comes Pacific Coffee, a coffee chain originated from Hong Kong which is now receiving rave reviews in Malaysia. Located in 2 places, namely Puchong & KL this little coffee place has been the talk around town lately. Me myself first heard of this brand during a marketing event where Pacific was serving coffee and snacks for guest of the event. And after I tried my first sip of Pacific Coffee, I was immediately hooked.
The outlet in Puchong is located at IOI Boulevard, and I must say the environment is nothing short of impressive. Sure you got your standard comfy sofas, leather everythings and nice tables with magazines and your daily papers, but get this...
They got shared computers here! A first in Malaysia I must say. Now I dont have to bring my lappie around anymore! woohoo!
Choices are plentiful too, prices are cheaper than the other 2 coffee chains as well!
On this particular day I decided to have an ice mocha, and a couple of my friends had the hot mocha and ice latte and a hot mocha. The flavour of coffee here is a little bit milder than the others, yet much smoother and with a much lower acidity level; a taste that I find fits most Malaysians perfectly well. The aroma is still there, probably from the roasting process and boy oh boy are they good or what.
The snacks here are not too bad as well. My favorite would have to be their chocolate rolls, crunchy on the outside, richly chocolaty inside. yumz.
Prices of coffee here are general a few ringgits cheaper than the other 2, so are the snacks. Lunch is served here but I havent not tried it yet. One of these days die die must try because they looked soooooooooo tasty on the picture!
Here's a map of IOI Boulevard for you readers. Pacific Coffee is facing LDP. They do have shops at Fahrenheit 88 and Pavilion as well.
