I have joint a different gym recently, located around the vicinity of Sunwaymas and was told by one of my gym buddies that this place. So after a tiring gym session last Friday, we decided to have a nice supper at this place.
The place is surprisingly easy to locate, as it was located very near to my old office! We barged in around 10pm and there was still a sizable amount of people there, always a good thing to see at a restaurant I have never been to before. And then it started raining, marvelous for our supper session!
We decided on our meals and the food arrived little less than 10 minutes later. Syok lah! Nice service me likey...The first dish was Marmite Pork Ribs, which was cooked to perfection. Sweet and sticky, we had a great time downing this dish. The meat was tender and juicy too, unlike some other places where the meat usually got over-fried and loses it tenderness.
The next dish was the Spinach Soup. This dish was sweet with the aroma of little anchovies and bits of century eggs, but too much MSG for me. I could not finish my soup.
We had another vege dish, Stir-Fried Four Heavenly Kings, which in human language is petai, 2 types of long beans and eggplants stir fried with garlic and bean paste sauce. The dish is prepared well, all the veges are fried just enough to retain the fresh crunch I love so much, and the sauce is just right to go with rice.
Finally the star dishes arrived. We ordered 2 types of fish to go with our meal, first is the Asam Steamed Talapia, which was done quite well for me. The fish was done just right, not over cooked and the taste of the asam was just enough to bring out the freshness of the fish, instead of overpowering it. Doggyjames loves this one :D
The second fish dish is Steamed Grouper, Teow Chew style. The fish was really fresh indeed, a key competent in making this a really tasty dish. The soup was sweet and light from the fish itself and other ingredients. This dish was another winner to me as well.
Overall, this maybe one of the best after gym meals I've had so far. And it cost us about RM 80 for all these goodies, kinda cheap in KL standards I'd say.
