Most Entertaining Football Medic Ever

With Brazil producing so many world class footballing legends, its about time a Brazillian medic takes the limelight!

From yahoo sports:

Brazil has produced many great footballing showman over the years, so it only seems natural that it produces a visionary in the art of inappropriate physio gymnastics like this man. Every time a Comercial player went down in their Copa do Brazil match against Palmeiras, the team's medic, "Bomba," would come sprinting out with his bag of tricks and just before attending to the writhing player, he would do a cartwheel. He did this three times. Each time, the fans called for him to do it and gave a big cheer when he did.

Perhaps this shows he was more concerned with entertaining the fans than helping the injured players or perhaps it shows his Patch Adams approach to his work. Either way, this could become something young aspiring medics around the world watch and try to emulate, bringing that Brazilian flair to a new facet of the game.

You go Bomba!!!

Can't Upload Photos from iPhone to Facebook? Here's Why!

Have you ever encountered this problem using your iPhone 4:

You are trying to upload a picture of what you are having right now (meal, not your latest sexual mishaps) or a picture of your best friend who just fainted in the toilet bowl because he had a drink too many onto Facebook so the whole world would actually be sticking their eyes onto the computer screen eagerly awaiting what you are doing right now and suddenly...

this message comes out:

"Your Photo Could Not Be Uploaded At This Time"

and you would be waiting forever to upload the damn photo, some of us (yours truly) would even delete and re-download Facebook on iPhone just to upload that damn photo! frustrating no?

After some Googling (more like hijacking, but who cares) it turns out that the solution to this problem is pretty simple:

1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Location Services.

2. Set Facebook to ON

3. Upload as usual

Facebook, if you’re reading this, here’s an easy fix that’ll help your users prevent thousands of wasted hours. Simply change the error message to something like:

“Your photo could not be uploaded. Make sure that your iPhone’s Location Services for Facebook is turned on.”

And then a button for “More Info” which will send them to this page, of course.

There you go, doggyjames don't need to delete and re-download FB on his iPhone anymore. Heh.

The Pork Place, IOI Boulevard Puchong

I have been to IOI Boulevard numerous times for drinks since the place opened its doors to the public, so much so that I have taken notice at this particular restaurant there, The Pork Place even without the chance of enjoying a nice dinner there. With such a recognizable name, the thought of having a meal here stuck with me for months and one day when a friend suggested we have dinner around the area, I just made a bee line to this place without even consulting her. Hehe.

There is a very nice ambiance to the place, so much so that it reminded me of a fine dining restaurant, just that portions are much bigger and of course, budgets are much smaller.

Interestingly enough there is even a butchers' counter in the restaurant so you can get your regular fix of babi-ness anytime you want!

After looking through the menu, which at this time has only a limited choice because it was opened only a couple of months ago, I decided on the pork belly steak with cream sauce and my dinner mate decided on the pork knuckles, with iced cappuccino and iced lemon tea as well. The meal arrived with 15 minutes, which in my books is always a good thing :)

The pork knuckle was crunchy on the outside, and tender on the inside. Served with leafy salads, freshly made mashed potatoes, gravy and mustard on the side was really, really good. The portion is just right for a person, as I suspect they purposed used a smaller piece of knuckle for one person only. The crispy skin was my favorite part, absolutely brilliant this one.

In fact, the skin was so crispy that one piece actually flew off the plate and onto the floor as we are cutting into them. Niceeeeee :)

My pork belly steak was beyond words. The meat was so tender and juicy that so sauce was even needed! The natural meat sauce ozzes out with I cut it open and yet, the gravy was simply divine! The slightly salty sauce and the sweet juicy meat was a match made in heaven, and I would definitely recommend this dish for those who has a great appetite for good, honest food!

Price is quite reasonable here. Our meal set us back about RM80, complete with drinks and all. Oh and they serve German beers here as well :D

Here's a map of IOI Boulevard for you readers. The Pork Place is located at the left side of IOI Boulevard if you are looking from LDP, facing the famous Hong Kee Bakery. For those of you who prefers some where other than Puchong, They have another shop at ss2 as well.
