Restoran Tmn. Million Batu Tiga Dim Sum, Jalan Ipoh KL

Now, every once in a while you'll be having one of those sleepless nights or better yet, having sleepless night after some drinks with a few friends and had the strangest cravings for food not available at night. Yeah. Thats what happened to me and my bunch of friends the night after EKT & JY's wedding. We were so sleepless we decided to go mamak at 3am but after getting no service at all from anyone there, we decided to go for some midnight dim sum at Jalan Ipoh. I've only been there once and reckon, why not? Nothing like pipping hot dim sums at 3 in the morning eh? So off we went and thanks to the Raya holidays, the city was deserted. We reach the place within 15 minutes.

The place is not really hard to find...just look for the only chinese looking restaurant open for business during the odd hours along Jalan Ipoh! Its next to Hong Leong Bank by the way. So we sat down, ordered some tea and off we go onto our 3am culinary adventure.


















Place was nice despite sitting outdoors in the old part of KL. No wild dogs sniffing around, no rats nor cockroaches or any funny smell. Just plain old good KL wind and the smell of dimsum...yum yum


















I went around and took some pictures while we were waiting for the tea and the guy with the dimsum....Seriously the place can really produce some artsy-fartsy shots if I have a good DSLR camera, very very nice.


















And tell me you are not hungry by now...yummies!


































And our food arrived very soon. Like any other old time dim sum place, a guy will be over at your table with a whole tray of dimsums, then you order lah.

































The place serves your normal dimsums, paus, dumplings, and some really good kick-arse porridge. Too bad I was too busy eating to take some pics of the porridge...Also, the chee cheong fun is really good. The skin is silky smooth and the sambal-ish sauce that goes with it....very very ter-good lah!

If theres one thing special about late night dim sums, its....you never seem to have enough!!!We even wanted to go for 2nd round at pudu but decided it was too late. But all and all, this place is a real gem in the middle of KL. Food so good and opening hours so flexible making anyone just wanna go ... ngom ngom ngom :D Table full of food was cleared within 30 minutes. Yea, we are scary.


















We spent approximately RM130 for 7 people that night, considered cheap I reckon.

A Very Good 15MALAYSIA Short Film!

Monopoly Card Game Night

This is what i did for merdeka eve...

played monopoly card game at a friends place.

Its not that i am not a patriotic person nor i hate crowded places...its just that...i am freaking broke this month...its cheaper to stay at a friends place drinking cheap beer & eating cheap snacks.
























Monopoly card game is an alternate version of the original board game. The idea of the game is to basically sort out your cards according to their own categories or colours, and when you have a complete sets of "colours", you are declared the winner. And of course, poke fun at your fellow players using wild card at the meantime, hoping that your friends would be turned into KokWai as shown in the videos below. You are required to do a victory dance once you've won a round, demonstrated by me in the video below.

Seriously, this shit can brighten up any party or gathering. RM6 each with 12% alcohol...origins suspiciously unknown...scared or not? haha

Bibiwok BBQ & Steamboat, Puchong

It was my last day at my company today and all the young people I am close with at work decided a farewell dinner was in order. It was decided we have it at Bibiwok Puchong, as the place was highly recommended by Rebecca (the one i dump all my work to XD).

Located in the food haven of Bandar Puteri Puchong, The place dons a very nice & modern outlook for a steamboat buffet place. The place reminds you of its heavy Thai influence as the moment we walk into the restaurant, there are endless statues & paintings of That origins. Personally, I feel that this is one of the best steamboat & BBQ buffet places I've ever been to. Just to add, the restaurant is divided into the ala carte section, located at the G level and the buffet section, located at the 1st floor.



















































This is pretty much a straight forward Buffet place with those ala carte concept. After sitting down, just let the waitress know what kinda dish you like and they will bring it out for you in a nice basket. They have both chicken broth & tomyum soup here, Insist on the tomyum...its el-fantastico! Very authentic and HOT! The BBQ is done in a very special way here, A piece of banana leaf was used and the result is not as many charred black foodstuff coming out. The banana leaf adds a nice fragrance to the food as well.

















































































Do order the beef & fish when you are here. The white fish is really fresh and after grilling them for less than a minute, the taste is really superb. The beef is very well marinated and requires only a minute of fast grilling. The juice are all kept in and wow, really explodes in your mouth!


































They serve duck breast here as well. Really good. The slices of duck are all very juicy, and very well marinated. Just left them on the grill for about 2 minutes as they release their oh-so-wonderful juices and aroma, you are bound to have an orgasmic experience in your mouth.




















The food just kept on coming. The service was a little bit slow but all understandable as there were only about 3-4 workers serving the whole floor, and all of them were foreign workers who can't speak good English, Chinese, Malay or Indian. They were however quite generous with their portion and foodstuff. It took us more than 2 hours to finish every thing...and we have ice cream & ABC for dessert as well.





































The bill came to about RM300 for the 10 of us including drinks. Yes, drinks are charged separately here. The buffet for 1 person is about RM28 if I was not mistaken (I didn't have to pay you see...hehehe). All in all it was a very good experience, especially when you have a really good bunch of friends like the people I makaned with here! ;D
