Uncle Seng Noodles, ss15

Friends. Besides being there for you when you need them the most and a shoulder to hang on when you are in the pits, not to mention making fun of you every chance they get, they are the ones who would bring you to undiscovered eating gems every once in a while. And this week, one of my closest group of friends decided to have lunch at this little hidden gem in ss15 Subang Jaya, Uncle Seng's Home Made Noodles.

The setting of this place is pretty simple, just a few tables probably not more than 15 scattered around a small shop and the kitchen is well hidden behind the shop. It's always crowded during lunch time and expect to wait for more than 30 minutes just to get a seat anytime during lunch hours. Luckily, I was late and the friends saved a seat for me, not before making fun of my awesome time keeping skills.

Being late and rushing to get to our after lunch karaoke session (yes, us guys loved to sing to the likes of The Carpenters and The Beatles), I decided to settle for the basics: Fresh homemade noodles with wantons and BBQ pork loins. After a brief 15 minutes wait, a steaming hot plate of noodles arrived in front of me.

Noodles here are prepared with the simplest ingredients, just noodles, the sides of your choice which would range from BBQ pork, wantons, roasted pork, fried pork to chickens feet and chinese mushrooms and a simple soup based sauce. Chilli sauce can be added for that extra kick but having a slight sorethroat that day, I decided against adding too much chilli sauce. Good thing is the soup based sauce was good enough for me, with just the right hint of sweetness and saltiness. The noodles were fresh and very springy, must have characteristics for homemade noodles.

I must admit, the noodles are really good on its own. Om Nom Nom Nom...

From RM4.50 a pop, this is probably one of the better tasting homemade noodles available in Subang. I just wish they were here during my college days, could see myself reporting here everyday when I had limited budget that time. LOL

Here's a map of the place for you readers. Uncle Seng's is located near Taylor's Business School in ss15, same row as secret recipe with very limited parking. I reccomend double parking for all you fearless souls.
